Are you seriously asking? Or are you rhetorically asking?
(I’m going to go out on a limb, and just pretend you’ve already answered, “Sure, Joel. What do you do with a problem called “these drums”?)
Problem? Not a problem. It sounds great. I would add a little spicy accent here and there.
First disclaimer, I am not a drummer. I am a sound sculptor.
I would try adding a HUGE BOOMY KICK and/or a BIG ASS CYMBAL on beat one, every 4 bars or so. This will create a sort of macro pulse. The synth and siren are all pulsing very tight. I’d suggest the percussion pulse sort of hugs their smaller subdivided beating.
I’d even try feeding these accents into a compressor side chain. Pump some of the other sounds around it.
I’m not talking about taking out what drums are there. Let them clamor in the background. I would just add an accent shot every 2 bars, or 4 bars, or however you’re feeling it.
Maybe a triangle too? (No, not really.) Or maybe…. No. Not really.
Clang.

I shall take your sage advice, advice I should’ve known myself, and apply it dutifully and graceously. It shall be heard (and reposted) sometime!

Sweet! Looking forward.
One of the things about being out of school: I miss peer critiques. I find so often that a fresh pair of ears can help me see deeper into my own work.
I had an idea a while back about an online writing circle. Haven’t thought much about it in a couple of weeks. (I’ve been monstrously busy.) But I’ll let you know if/when I try to get something off the ground.
I’m thinking like a private forum group of 5 – 10 people. People who want to be composing more, and would benefit from hearing what other people make, as well as the peer feedback element.

Oh god, I’d love that. Yes, please do it. Also, yay for networking!
