m-tron

Just when I start thinking to myself “As much as I love the M-Tron (G-Force Software), I definitely have little-to-no-use for the M-Tron Pro”, they go and make a new soundbank for the Pro. It now samples the “Optigan

I have wanted an Optigan ever since I first heard about it. Then again, I’ve also always wanted a Mellotron, and now have the next best thing in the M-Tron. Why must they tempt me? I shouldn’t complain. I’d rather the Optigan be available digitally than not. That means someday, somehow… it will be mine.

I’ve been hit with two deadlines that are very close to one another. And both are projects I can’t really talk about yet! One of them is for a contest, a contest for money! The other one is the big one I was mentioning previously.

I have to get my creative ass in gear. I’ve been so stagnant lately, and this, hopefully, will be just the thing to break the ice that contains any musical ideas within. But I have a firm grasp of what I want to do, I’m just scared stiff that what I’m thinking won’t quite make it to fruition intact.

I have to give my full, 100%-for-what-it’s-worth endorsement for GForce Software’s Retro Synth pack. It includes the M-Tron (Mellotron sampler), the MiniMonsta, the Oddity (based on the ARP Odyssey synth) and my all time favourite, the ImpOSCar (softsynth emulation of the OSCar hardware synth).

I love them so, and am thinking of doing some sort of Vintage-only project sometime after all of the projects coming up are out of the way.

I’m trying really REALLY hard to have faith in my abilities. I don’t want to let anyone down.
